Movement is Medicine

Nervous System Regulation

Nervous system regulation is a vital part of optimizing your health and performance. The state of your nervous system shapes how you experience yourself and the world around you.

When the nervous system becomes inflexible, you might find yourself stuck in high-alert states like anxiety or fear, or in low-energy states like shutdown and depression. These states aren’t “bad” — they’re natural responses designed to protect you. The challenge arises when we get stuck in them for too long, which can lead to imbalance and dis-ease.

In this pillar, our work is to help your nervous system become more adaptable and resilient through awareness, practice, and intentional regulation. Together, we will:

  1. Develop awareness of the different nervous system states and how they show up in your body and behavior.

  2. Learn tools that use the mind, body, nature, cold, and breath to increase flexibility and regulation.

  3. Practice consistently so you can become a master of your internal environment — responding to life’s stressors with presence and ease.

Mobilize to Optimize

Mobility is the foundation of functional movement and long-term vitality. In this pillar, we focus on restoring and expanding the natural range of motion in your major joints so your body can move freely and efficiently.

Loss of mobility is often blamed on aging, but in reality, we lose it because we stop moving through our full ranges on a regular basis. Movement truly is medicine — motion is the lotion — and when we stop using it, we start losing it.

Here, we work to reclaim and strengthen your movement capacity through:

  1. Joint mobilizations to restore healthy joint mechanics.

  2. Dynamic and static stretching to improve flexibility and tissue adaptability.

  3. Owning challenging positions to build strength and control at end ranges.

  4. Corrective exercises to stabilize and support new mobility gains.

By practicing these tools consistently, you’ll increase movement freedom, reduce pain and restriction, and build a body that feels capable and resilient in everyday life.

Functional Strength

Strength is the foundation for freedom of movement, confidence, and resilience. In this pillar, we focus on building functional strength that supports you in every facet of your life — whether that’s moving with greater efficiency, improving body composition, building resilience, or simply becoming a beast in your own right.

Through intentional programming, mindful coaching, and attention to detail, we’ll help you develop strength that’s not just for the gym, but for life. Expect a blend of conventional and unconventional training methods — lifting, carrying, rotating, balancing, and moving your body the way it was designed to move.

The result: a stronger, more capable, and more grounded version of yourself — one that moves better, feels better, and shows up powerfully in every area of life.

This is the way.

I’m a woman in her 70s who is aware that weight training is a good defense against osteoporosis. When I started training with Dipo I was also recovering from knee replacement surgery and lower back surgery. My energy and strength were low along with my enthusiasm.
Dipo designed a workout program for me that is both thorough and achievable. My energy, strength and mobility have improved significantly and I’m very grateful.
Dipo is not only deeply knowledgeable about physical fitness, but he is also very intelligent so our sessions are always a pleasure as we talk about many interesting topics.
I recommend Dipo for personal training for anyone of any age!

I didn’t feel good.
At 59, I weighed almost 250 lbs and struggled with moving: climbing stairs, crossing my legs, and walking the dogs were daunting activities. I decided that I didn’t want to roll into 60 like that, so I headed to the gym. Rowing got my weight down to 190, and I wanted to focus on developing strength and mobility but didn’t know where to start.

That’s when I met Dipo. He asked about my goals and he listened closely, while he explained his training principles. We began a training partnership that has lasted more than six years, and Dipo continues to listen carefully and support me in achieving my goals. Through a global pandemic, he was flexible and accommodating in providing movement opportunities within COVID isolation protocols. And most recently, he helped me rehabilitate from a shoulder injury and post-carpal tunnel release surgery.

Dipo has developed and refined my strength and mobility; he continues to learn ways to create and modify programs that support a 66-yr-old body; and I am so much more knowledgeable about the ways my body works. I am proud of the changes in my wellness and fitness, and Dipo has been a stalwart partner and coach on the path. Can’t ask for a better trainer!

Dipo Obadina came highly recommended to me as a trainer in the spring of 2020 -during the lockdown-and he was willing to Zoom workout sessions on a regular basis.

Fast forward- Fall of 2025- I continue to Zoom with Dipo because of his vast knowledge of muscular-skeletal interdependence, breathing techniques, discipline, dependability and his willingness to define and accommodate my specific work-out needs.

Dipo pushes me to excel, to try different approaches and he understands my personality. Our weekly scheduled sessions continue to shape a long term workout commitment and friendship.
I highly recommend Dipo Obadina for all of your exercise and training needs!

Heather

My name is Heather Wright, and I had the privilege of meeting Dipo in 2021. Working with him has transformed my life in ways I never thought possible. Before Dipo, I was struggling with severe pelvic floor pain, and after consulting multiple doctors, I was faced with the daunting prospect of a hysterectomy at just 32 years old. Unsure about this decision, I committed myself to improving my quality of life without resorting to surgery.

Exercising felt impossible; even the slightest activity would worsen my prolapse, leaving me in pain and bedridden for days. During my first meeting with Dipo, I shared my struggles, and we immediately got to work. I vividly remember having a panic attack after our first workout—both mentally and physically, I felt weak.

Dipo has a warm presence and is the best listener I've ever encountered. He tailored every exercise to ensure I was comfortable while helping me build mental strength alongside my physical capabilities. Our sessions quickly became something I looked forward to. I had previously tried countless workouts and diets, but they were too taxing on my life as a mother, leading to calorie obsession and guilt. I made it clear to Dipo that I wanted to enjoy hamburgers and tacos while toning up and, most importantly, improving my mental health. Thanks to Dipo's guidance, hard work, dedication, and yes, even enjoying my favorite foods, I achieved my goals!

Dipo is an incredible source of knowledge in strength training and mobility, but what sets him apart is his ability to inspire his clients to become better individuals—resilient and proud, like lions. After several years of working with him, I've lost around 40 pounds (though I stopped counting because feeling good is what truly matters). I now feel amazing in my body, in the best shape of my life, and, most importantly, I have found a sense of freedom and calm mentally.

My whole family has come to love Dipo, including my husband and two kids, which speaks volumes about his character. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Dipo to improve your quality of life, just as I have. ♥️

When I first started working out with Dipo, I had very limited knowledge of the mind/body connection. Since then, I have learned so much! I have managed to get through illnesses and injuries with this knowledge. His calm demeanor, willingness to listen and encouragement, helped me navigate those setbacks with consistency and adaptability. My strength has increased in mind and body. I enjoy working out and I’m excited to grow even stronger with Dipo’s guidance.

Billy

When I first started training with Dipo, I wasn’t in a good place mentally or physically. I had lower back and shoulder pain from old injuries, my stamina and conditioning were shot, and honestly, I didn’t even have a real goal. I just knew I needed something.

Back then, I could barely get through a full workout without throwing up during or after. It was rough, and it made it hard to want to show up. But I kept showing up and Dipo kept showing up for me. His encouragement, consistency, and energy made it easier to keep coming back.

What I really appreciate, beyond the workouts, are the deep conversations and thought processes we share during training. It’s not just about lifting weights it’s about mindset, discipline, and growth.

Four years later, I’ve completely turned things around. I’ve gained 20 pounds of solid muscle, my stamina is through the roof, and I’m lifting heavier than ever. My back and shoulder pain are gone thanks to the strength and stability I’ve built. I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life.

Dipo isn’t just a trainer, he’s a brother for life. He’s one of the best human beings I’ve ever met. I’ll keep working with him to continue growing mentally, spiritually, and physically.

If you’re someone who’s struggling whether it’s mentally, physically, or you’re just scared to start, don’t be. Dipo will take care of you. He knows the way and he’ll get you where you want to be.
